Likes: Jumping, swinging, all movement in general. New environments (assuming you don't wake up alone in them). Being or looking outside. Textures. Crinkling sounds from the things you touch. Hair in your face.
Dislikes: Being overly tired. Not being able to move around easily. I'm not really sure what you are unhappy about the rest of the time.
Milestones: Sitting for an extended period of time (up to 10 min!). Rolling all ways and across the room. Eating solids. Hand-eye coordination is much improved.
Weight/Height: About 15 lbs and 2ft 3in.
Clothing Size: Mostly 6 and 6-9 months. A few 3, 9 and 12 months thrown in there.
Eating: You started eating solids this month! You love it, but you are super messy. You certainly prefer the well pureed items to chunkier ones. We give you about an ounce a day but don't cut back on the breast milk at all. You are still more of a snacking nurser rather than full feedings.
Sleep: Getting better. Some days are worse than others. You seem to need to be nursed or rocked to sleep these days instead of falling asleep on your own. We've been putting you to sleep on your tummy since you move to that position even if we try putting you to sleep on your back. A lot of the time you sleep with your butt in the air. You wake up anywhere between 1-3 times a night still and are up for the day way earlier than your mommy would like.
Random Tidbits: So much has happened this month! You have had so many new experiences: eating solids, swinging, playing in the baby pool, going to graduations and a rehearsal dinner. Daddy's Ph.D. advisor also held you! You are so much happier these days and are finding new people less scary. You make the goofiest faces and laugh at some of the strangest things (i.e. hair tickling your face or daddy acting like a monkey). You love the water. You splash in your baby pool, and you kick in the bathtub. You are obsessed with running your fingernails across things.
How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: Much better than last month, but it has been hard because daddy has to work and has had to miss out on a lot.
Looking Forward To: Crawling (may eat my words on that one). More foods.
