Audra: 12 Months!
Milestones: The doctor says you're growth and development are going well! You are still just taking steps (maybe up to 6-7) on your own. You can stand unassisted for a good minute, though! There are times when you will walk back and forth through our entire place if we hold your hands. You're starting to point, which is awesome because it means you have a new way of communicating with us that doesn't involve screeches or cries. I think we can add "bottle" to the list of your first words. You have also started saying, "mamamamamaa." You now have 4 teeth with 2 more on the way! You can now steer your walker so that Mommy and Daddy don't have to help you all the time. You can clap correctly to "If You're Happy and You Know It" and you can do a few of the motions to "The Wheels on the Bus."
Weight/Height: 18 lb. 1 oz. (you used the big kid scale today!). 29 inches tall. You are following your particular growth curves consistently.
Eating: You still have your good days of eating and your bad. You love oranges! You still have a high breastmilk intake, and we are starting to offer you whole milk at meals, but you just take big sips and let most of it fall out of your mouth.
Sleep: You are still waking up a few times a night. You have started going down easily for naps, which makes the days you fight it all the more miserable. You also don't like being away from Mommy in the evenings, so you won't let Daddy give your Mommy a break and put you to sleep for the night.
Random Tidbits: Daddy was super-happy the day Mommy and you visited him at work to have a picnic lunch and to watch the airplanes! You are now super ticklish on your sides; mommy loves to tickle you. You are such a little explorer - no stone unturned. You are starting to test us when we tell you "no" (a.k.a. flat out ignore us). You are really starting to take an interest in toys when you aren't off exploring the rest of the house. It is hard to get a non-blurry picture of you these days.
