Just Hours Away

The mortgage has been approved! Final paperwork is being collected for our closing day less than 100 hours away.

As you can see from Jessica's "Planning From Afar" series of posts, we've been steadily planning what we'll be doing as we move in. For me, I'm looking forward to doing some woodworking in the garage!

Speaking of the garage, here's one more sneak peek photo: the side of the house. The garage is technically separate from the house but is not considered detached, since it's connected by a screened porch and all are underneath the same roof structure.

To take a little more pride in the furniture and to save some money, we're planning to build quite a bit of things. I've already acquired a miter saw, but I've held off on buying a circular saw and some other things to populate the garage until we've moved in (and hopefully get coupons!).

Just a few days away to having a nice place to call home!
