Brooke: 6 Months!

Likes: Bath time! Activity gym and teething toys. Sister being silly. Interacting with mommy and daddy. Chewing on everything. 

Dislikes: Wet diapers in your sleep.

Milestones: First teeth. First Foods. Sitting.  You can get up on all fours and rock. 

Weight/Height: 16.0 lbs / 26.75 in.

Clothing Size: 6 month are getting snug. I put you in plenty of 9 and 12 month stuff.

Eating: You had your first solids this month! I started with trying to puree peas, but it didn't really work well and you were eh on them. You have also had avocado, banana, blueberry, pears, and bananas/acai/granola. I also gave you a tiny bite of egg to chew on. You seem to like to eat solids every day - we usually do it just as daddy gets home from work. You eat a lot more than your sister did at this age, so I'm going to need more food in my arsenal. You also will take a bottle from your daddy now, so that is nice!

Health: You had a runny nose at the beginning of the month. Lots of snot sucking action up in here. Since then everything has seemed fine.

Sleep: It hasn't been as awesome this month, you have 1-3 wake ups every night. A quick diaper change and/or occasional nursing session, and you are back down. Some days you refuse all afternoon naps, and some days are pretty smooth. You have started being okay with no nursing during the night again, you only wake up because you can fill a diaper in your sleep.

Random Tidbits: You are the sweetest. You light up when we make eye contact with you. Your sister was watching "Cars" and doing the ca-chow catch phrase Lightning McQueen does, and I did it to you and you find it hilarious so I do it all the time. You also love kisses and raspberries. We have been doing lifts with you above our heads and you are a fan-- hoping both you and your sister will be my roller coaster buddies when you are older. You like to blow raspberries at us, especially when we get you out of your crib. You sit pretty well, but don't try to sit ever. You practice scooting all over your crib and like to play with the mirror in there. You just started sleeping with your knees pulled up under you and your butt in the air. You like to stare at your sisters tv shows. 

How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: Daddy is up at least once every night to change your wet diaper. You usually wake up at 5:30am now, but Daddy has yet to take advantage of that to get to work earlier and come home earlier. You bit mommy pretty badly this month, but luckily she healed nursing sessions have been incident free since.

How is Big Sister doing? "Great!" would probably be her response, but last night she said "Brooke makes me happy." She loves including you in things and is still waiting for you to do more with her. She likes to offer for you to grab her hair or tickle her.
