Brooke: 2 Months!

Likes: Sleep. Trees. Beach.

Dislikes: Tummy Time. Being sick.

Milestones: Sleeping through the night. First illness(es). Grinning. Cooing. 

Weight/Height: You were 11 lbs. 6 oz. at your sick visit at the beginning of the week.

Clothing Size: You are growing out of 3-month sleepers, I should really switch you to 6-month but I love your 3-month ones and am not entirely ready to let go of them yet.

Eating: We have had some massive spit up moments that have worried me. I just nurse on demand and offer whenever you are fussy. Overall, you are gaining weight splendidly (seriously, feel free to slow down), so we aren't worried. 

Health: I added this category just for you. While it took Audra over a year to get even a cold and over two years for an actual sick visit to the doctor, you got to go before you were even 2 months old. Luckily, you are a hearty and healthy baby otherwise, so you are taking it all like a champ. You tested positive for RSV and the flu B but have not been given any medications. 

Sleep: I'm pretty sure sleep is your drug. You are a rock star and sleep 7-9+ hour stretches most nights, and if you wake up, a quick diaper change and nursing session are enough to get you back into a deep sleep. Your cough is currently interrupting your sleep, and you aren't too happy about that.

Random Tidbits: You took your first trip to the beach this month. You did awesome but weren't a fan of the cold water on your toes. You do have your fussy periods in the evenings, and you have had some very large spit-up/vomiting episodes. You are having more chill awake moments and just starting to take in the world around you. You have had some fleeting grins and coos that are hard for me to catch on camera.  You have a flat spot on the back of your head that is worse when you wake up and fades during the day - we are working on getting you to move your head to different positions when you sleep. 

How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: Two sick kids has been quite the challenge. We were in a good routine before that, so hopefully once this being woken every hour of the night passes, we will be back to that good spot.

How is Big Sister doing? Audra was also sick this month right alongside you but that didn't stop her from trying to give you kisses and hugs. She's not so worried about your crying anymore. She'll try to help Mommy and Daddy with your diaper changes, and she will spontaneously show her love for you in various ways. She claims some of her stuff is yours and some of your stuff is hers and insists that is how it is.

Looking Forward To: Big smiles! More interaction with big sister. More muscle development and abilities.
