Brooke: 18 Months

Likes: Eating. "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes." "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." Riding on your tricycle. Wagon rides. Tire swing. Eating. Markers. Eating markers. Drawing/painting on sister's projects. Pulling books down. Fastening buckles. Climbing in and out of bed. Brushing your teeth. Did we mention eating?

Dislikes: Going to bed. Daddy brushing your teeth. When Mommy won't let you sit on top of the desk.

Milestones: You are walking so well, and you're starting to put shoes and clothes on by yourself. You are very good at saying "thank you" and also saying "sorry" to your sister when we tell you to. All your teeth except your two-year molars are in, and we think those molars are coming in soon.

Weight/Height: 21.5 lbs and 2 ft 6 in.

Clothing Size: 18-month and 24-month.

Eating: Everything and anything. You like to stuff your mouth with food, and when you can't chew or swallow because you have so much, you spit it all out. It's lovely.

Health: Small bouts of runny nose and some fever but overall very good.

Sleep: You nap once or twice a day anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. You are sharing a room with your sister, and it's often difficult getting you both to sleep at the same time; you like seeing what's going on if you hear noises. At night, you'll get up and cry once or twice, but a steady hand gets you back to sleep.

Random Tidbits: Very similar things to what you did at 12 months. You like to figure out how things work. You like trying to clip your carseat clip, and you're successful at fastening buckles. You love to push your sister around on anything with wheels - doll stroller, toddler car, rocket seat. You still like swinging on the tire swing. You still suck your thumb and rub your belly button at the same time when you are tired. We took a long car trip to Texas in May, and you did well for the most part.

How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: You are too easy to love. Daddy still has a home-grown alarm clock with you waking around 6:30 every morning. Mommy makes it through with her sanity some days.

How is Big Sister doing? Loves you and cares so much about you. You two are interacting so much more. She gets annoyed, though, when you get curious about her toys and art projects.

Looking Forward To: Cooler weather. Meeting baby sister!
