Audra: 1 Month!
Nicknames: Grandpa calls you Auddie, the rest of us usually call you by your name. I'll spit a random name out here or there, but nothing sticks.
Likes: Staring off into nothingness with your entire body frozen. Eating - both bottle and boob. Sleeping on people. Making awesome pooping faces. Farting. Car rides.
Dislikes: Gassy belly. Sleeping when mommy wants you to sleep. Anything at 10:30 pm.
Milestones: You are starting to see much better - you can actually look at people and make eye contact. You also have pretty good neck control. You lost your belly button stump at 2 weeks 3 days.
Weight/Height: At your two-week appointment, you were 7 lb. 10 oz. and 20-1/4 in. We are estimating you are around 8 lb. 4 oz. now using our home scale and no clue to your current height.
Clothing Size: Newborn, though you are starting to fill them out. I give it three more weeks until you have grown out of most of them.
Sleep: You are a pretty good sleeper; the problem is you don't sleep on mommy's schedule. The toughest part is between 10:30 pm and 1:00 am - when you are always wide awake and sometimes too fussy. You usually wake up around 3-4 am and again around 6-7 am, which is bearable, but I'm totally okay with you sleeping longer. You are a loud sleeper throughout the night. You grunt, moan, do weird breathing noises, the random high-pitched inhale, and toot throughout the night. It is hard to tell when you are really awake for sure, but if those eyes are closed, we let you stay in bed.
Random Tidbits: Your hair is growing longer, and your eyes are losing the little blue they had. You are so adorable when you aren't pooping while people hold you. You have been to 4 restaurants already, and all of them were pretty great expereiences. You woke up hungry and fussy at the end of Daddy's lab dinner but were great before that. You slept solidly through Grandma and Uncle Justin's birthday dinners two nights in a row. New Year's Eve dinner was your roughest, but you calmed down once I held you for a bit. You also have traveled very well so far - sleeping all the way to Grandma and Grandpa's house and back.
Looking Forward To: Smiles! I can't wait for you to start smiling. Also longer sleep periods at night.
