Likes: Grabbing your toes. When mommy kisses you over and over. Being silly. Toys. Rolling over. Any electronic screen. Your shadow. Being flipped upside down, bounced or held up like you are flying. The Wheels on the Bus. The Cha-Cha Slide.
Dislikes: "New people" holding you. Being stuck on your tummy.
Milestones: So many this month! You are rocking tummy time, but have yet to figure out rolling tummy to back. You can roll back to tummy now, though! Of course, this is gradually leading to a preference of sleeping on your tummy. You can bring your feet to your mouth and enjoy sucking on them. Your motor control has improved when playing with toys. You can sit unassisted on the ground for up to a minute.
Weight/Height:Could be anywhere between 14 lbs and 14.5 lbs. Our scale is not consistent. We think you've gotten taller because your sleepers don't fit the same way they used to, but we measured 24", which was similar to last month.
Clothing Size: a few large 0-3 month, 3-6 month. 6 month, a few small 9 month - Seriously, baby clothes sizes are whack.
Eating: Going smoothly. You eat at almost every night wake up, which is a lot. Sometimes you refuse before bedtime, which is frustrating since you usually need it to get to sleep.
Sleep: Regressed. Multiple wake ups during the night, some of which you take hours to go back to sleep. Naps are pretty good, but occasionally you end up skipping one or refuse to go down.
Random Tidbits: You are really experimenting with all your capabilities. The vocal cords work well, you are welcome to bring them back to a reasonable decibel now. As soon as we lay you down on your back you roll to your tummy, then get fussy and we have to play flip the baby. You manipulate toys well - usually to shove them at the correct angle into your mouth. Your hair is starting to get long enough that it looks messy after you wake up sometimes. Some days you are super chill and other days you just want to go go go. I love when you try to talk and have seen a slight increase in it towards the end of this month. Your giggle fits are the best.
How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: This month has been rough. You are slowly sucking the life out of us with the lack of sleep. We still have our heads above water, though. The happiness makes it all worth it.
Looking Forward To: Rolling back over. Scooting. Sitting for longer.
