Audra: 8 Months!

Likes: Ice! Electronics. Interacting with people. Toys that light up and have sound. Food. Walker.

Dislikes: Sore gums from teething. As of this week, sleeping.

Milestones: Can wave "Hi" and can high-five. Crawl like a pro. Pull up on furniture and you are even beginning to cruise and attempting to climb. Can walk with the walker. You cut your first two teeth this month (bottom middle). Starting to try to talk a little more, have heard a few hard consonants now and then.

Weight/Height: 16.8 lbs / 27 inches

Clothing Size: In 9 month sleepers now. You are in mostly 6 month and 9 month clothes, and I'm hoping a good number of those will last you until late fall when it started getting chilly.

Eating: You are loving your solids. We had been feeding you mostly, but we are starting to let you try to feed yourself more now, especially as we move away from purees and onto more solid food.

Foods Eaten:
Rice Cereal
Banana
Avocado
Sweet Potato
Mango
Pears
Carrots
Peaches
Zucchini Squash
Oatmeal
Yogurt
Cantaloupe
Blueberries
Green Beans
There are probably more that I'm forgetting...

Sleep: You are still waking up about 3 times a night. You go back to sleep quickly with a little nursing. I am thinking we need to stop the nursing and let you get yourself back to sleep, but it is such a quick and easy solution for me right now. You consistently take three naps a day, but the length can vary anywhere from 30 min to 90 min.

Random Tidbits: You like grabbing things you're not supposed to have:  tags, shoes, electronics of any kind, cords and cables, and sliding door locking pins to name a few. Since you've grown so much and like to stand yourself up whenever you can, Mommy and Daddy have had to lower your crib mattress. Once you've set your sights on something, you get on your hands and legs and zoom towards it, climbing over any obstacle in your way. You've crawled all over the apartment now. You've also started petting the dogs and playing with their toys. You are so smiley and happy these days. It is so fun to watch your face light up when something interests you or makes you happy.

How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: Daddy's glad to be home with you and helping Mommy out as much as he can. Mommy is glad Daddy is here to give her a break.

Looking Forward To: Talking. Zoe letting you play with her.
