We (read: I) transplanted the watermelon into the ground today. Only 10 days later than when I supposedly should've done it. The plants also got their first batch of food. Miracle-Gro recommended their
Tomato, Fruits & Vegetables Continuous Release plant food. They typically come in a 4.5-lb. container, which is overkill for the size of our efforts here. While it's not cost effective per unit price,
Amazon offers 1-lb. version as an add-on item, and even this will last us for a long time.
