Audra: 4 Months!

Likes: Your thumb (the left one to be exact). Grabbing your toes. Sticking out your tongue. Floor Activity Gym. Music box. Blowing bubbles with your spit. Raspberries on your tummy. Walks and just being outside.

Dislikes: Being cold. Dogs barking too loudly. Demands not being met in the appropriate time frame (0.0023 seconds).

Milestones: You are fully grabbing toys now! It is so fun to see you interact. Everything you touch you try to bring to your mouth. You can also get your head so much higher during tummy time! You still seem to be a little ways from rolling over on your own, though you are much closer than you were even a week ago. You can also grab your feet now and occasionally try to pull them to your mouth. Giggles are becoming common!

Weight/Height: at yesterday's doctor's visit, you weighed 12 lb. 12 oz. and passed the 2 ft. mark with a height/length of 24-1/4 in!

Clothing Size: 3 month, 3-6 month. some 6 month

Eating: You still love your food. You still have only had breastmilk, although there was one close call when grandma and grandpa were watching you and they ran out of milk. Luckily, mommy got home just in time. You seem to like to pace out your meals and eat some and then want more 30 min later. You eat a lot more in the evenings before bedtime. The doctor said we can start trying to give you solid food if you seem interested, but we'll keep going with breastmilk for now.

Sleep: You now nap without a swaddle! You go down so well for your naps, all mommy has to do is set you down, pop a pacifier in, and put on the music box. You tend to take 4 approximately 40 min naps a day. Your night sleep had been awesome, but you just started regressing with some 2 am and 5 am wake ups. This week we also dropped your night swaddle without much difficulty, but you do take a little longer to get to sleep.

Random Tidbits: Instead of crying, I feel like you are making demands at me when you want something. You went through an obvious growth spurt and got super clingy to mommy and daddy at the beginning of the month. You light up when you are actively playing, and you pull at all your toys in the activity gym. You poop all the time. I've read some babies poop every other day at this point, but not you, you let it out 4-5 times/day. You are starting to notice the dogs but take little interest in them. You are changing so quickly, and we love every new day with you.

How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?:  This month has been rough. The clinginess at the beginning of the month was hard, and daddy being very busy with his school stuff meant he didn't get as much time with you as he would like. There was also a lot of transitioning from one place to the other. We made it through and are out the other side, and more in love with you than ever.

Looking Forward To: Rolling, Sitting, High-Fives.
